The whole set up of the course suited me because my course tutor had already sorted out the learning programme into logical steps, which made it easy for my to follow – especially as I have two kids and a job so I was dipping in and out of it when I could. As well as the course itself they had put up some useful links so I could easily find my way to the required research reading without trawling the whole web. I work abroad for about six months of the year, so during that time going to college was not really an option for me, and for the time I am back home I’d rather be spending time with my family than studying. That’s why I chose the online course for my Assessors course, it meant that I could finish the whole thing while I was away and get back on the flight home knowing I am qualified.
A big thanks to Get UK Qualified for enabling me to gain my certificate, the course was really logically laid out and straightforward to follow. I always got fast answers to my queries when I got stuck (which also happened several times on the same question but thanks to Katherine for getting me through it). Strange as it sounds, having somebody setting me deadlines, agreeing my learning plan and touching base with me was really important as it got me motivated. Thanks again !

Now I’ve got my qualification it’s enabled me to get some real tuition under my belt and start tutoring at salons. My next target is to go onto do the Assessor course.

My line manger wanted me to do this course, and I was not keen – I just thought that it wasn’t for me. Luckily I picked Get UK Qualified as my training provider because as soon as they contacted me I knew that they would look after me, my tutor was very supporting and helpful and made me feel that I could do it. Even though I thought I would really struggle, this was not the case. Although I found it hard at first, as they say nothing worthwhile is easy. After a bit of precedence from me and help from my tutor I got right on track and I’ve now finished.
